USAA partners with The Hartford for small business insurance
By Insure.com

USAA members who own small businesses now can buy The Hartford's small-business coverage through USAA, due to a partnership between the two companies.

Under the agreement, USAA's General Agency will broker The Hartford's Spectrum small-business insurance policy, selling to an estimated 400,000 USAA members who own small businesses. USAA is marketing the service via direct mail and telephone.

The Spectrum policy includes tailored property and liability insurance coverage with limits according to the needs of the particular small business. Spectrum includes a $5 million limit on building and personal property coverage; general liability coverage with a $2 million limit; employment practices liability insurance with a $1 million limit; commercial auto coverage for up to 10 vehicles; and workers compensation for annual payrolls up to $500,000.

Over 700 small business types are eligible for Spectrum, including retailers, manufacturers, contractors, high-tech companies, and cultural organizations.
