Insurance department report card

  • Last updated: March 28, 2000

The Consumer Federation of America (CFA) has released a study grading each state's insurance department on the strength of its Web page. CFA awarded an "A" to states that post brochures to explain all lines of insurance, rates, and service. States without Web sites received an "F." If a state had very little or no useful information, it received a "D." All other states earned a "B/C" grade. For more, read Study finds insurance department Web sites making the grade.
