Average health insurance costs in January and February 2000

Average health insurance premiums for HMO and non-HMO health plans in the United States increased only slightly from January to February 2000. But the premiums were up more than 6 percent from the same time last year, according to data from Ceridian Benefits Services, a Palm Harbor, Fla., provider of employee benefits administration services.
