A new online resource created by the Kaiser Family Foundation can answer health insurance and health care questions across all 50 states.

Insure.com offers its own mandated health benefits by state convenient tool. Simply click here to see your rights regarding guaranteed-issue plans, pre-existing medical conditions, and external grievance review panels. We also tell about prompt-pay laws and whether your state offers a high-risk health insurance pool. |
Click on Health Facts Online to find out such diverse facts as: Which states spend the highest amount per person in their Medicaid programs? Or, which states spend the most on health care as a percentage of their gross national product?
The free resource allows users to research information from one state or to compare data from all 50 states. More than 200 topics are covered on the site and the information is displayed in tables and color-coded maps.
Links to state insurance departments, each state's Legislature, and Medicare and Medicaid sites in the individual states are provided. You can click to state-specifics such as: population demographics, health status, health coverage and uninsured, Medicaid and CHIP, Medicare, health costs and budgets, managed care and health insurance, providers and service use, women's health, minority health, and HIV/AIDS.
