My ex-wife never took me off her health insurance after our divorce. I have my own health insurance. Whenever I see a doctor both insurances get billed. Doctor offices have told me that I cannot cancel my ex-wife's coverage of me. Suggestions? Am I liable for my ex-wife's oversight?

Well, there's nothing you can do, since you're not able to make changes to the plan she has through work. You're probably on her plan for another year, until her next open enrollment in the fall.

I don't see any liability for you in her oversight. In fact, the liability is hers of you don't pay the necessary copays and co-insurance.
