I am about to buy my first house and I can not get definite information about dog bites. Does homeowners insurance cover dog bites if I took my dog for a walk, or just on my property?

According to the Insurance Information Institute, your home insurance should cover dog bites, not only on your property, but also when you're out walking your pet.
