About Country Insurance
Country Insurance & Financial Services began providing fire and lightning insurance to farmers in Illinois in 1925. It was started by a group of members of the Illinois Agricultural Association.
Country began offering its members crop insurance in 1926 and auto insurance in 1927.
In 1960, the company moved its home office from Chicago to Bloomington, Ill.
Over the years, Country has grown from serving clients in 14 states to serving clients in 40 states.
It is a mutual insurance company and does business through independent agents. Country has nearly 2,000 financial representatives in 17 Midwestern, Western and Southern states.
Country is partners with MiddleOak to provide insurance and services to residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Country offers discounts depending on your age, driving record, where you live and the safety features your vehicle has. It also offers premium discounts to first responders and teachers in some states.
