Oklahoma Farm Bureau Car Insurance Says
Oklahoma law requires minimum liability coverage,
but Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance recommends that members carry much
more than the minimum. There are other types and amounts of coverage
available to tailor the policy to individual needs.
- Liability coverage - provides for bodily injury and
property damage
- Bodily injury coverage - provides protection for
injury to others and pays legal defense costs related to a car accident
- Property damage coverage - provides protection for
damage to someone else's car or other property caused by the insured
vehicle
- Medical payments coverage - pays for certain expenses
related to injury or death in the case of a car accident
- Uninsured motorist coverage - pays for medical
expenses related to bodily injury when caused by someone else driving a
car that does not have liability coverage
- Damage to your car coverage - includes collision
coverage which will pay for vehicle damage caused by collision with
another object or by upset; and comprehensive coverage pays for vehicle
damage caused by incidents other than collision or upset
- Additional transportation expenses coverage -
includes car rental expenses in the event of a vehicle loss covered
under comp and collision
- Transportation, meals and lodging coverage - pays
limited expenses if vehicle is disabled more than 50 miles from
the insured's residence due to a loss covered under comp and collision
- Rental car repayment of deductible coverage - pays the
amount required to pay the owner for a rental car
- Roadside assistance coverage - pays a limited amount
of costs associated with towing and/or labor to repair the insured
vehicle
