The key here is to find out if your health plan is "grandfathered." That's a term the government uses for health plans that are allowed to sneak past the Affordable Care Act. Ask your benefits administrator at work.

If your plan is "grandfathered," it is not required to extend coverage to young adults if they are eligible for a health plan at their work. Here's more info from HHS.

Even if the plan is grandfathered, ask if they will allow her to be on the plan; some insurers are following provisions of the Affordable Care Act even though they don't have to.
