Delight might not be the first word most people associate with insurance carriers and banks. But Brand Keys, a New York consulting firm, has identified financial service companies that are best at delighting their customers.
Allstate and Aetna are among those at the top of the list.
In tracking 53 brands in financial services and products, Brand Keys found that brand values and personal service impacted customers most. Brands that meet or exceed consumer expectations become leaders, according to the firm.
"Many industry pundits have looked at the pressures on price and drew the erroneous conclusion that brands have lost their value. Quite the opposite is true," Robert Passikoff, Brand Keys president, said in a press statement. "Real brands are more valuable than ever."
Brand Keys named the following insurance companies as best for creating customer delight.
- State Farm
Life and health insurance
- NY Life
- The Hartford
The findings are based on a Brand Keys survey of 49,000 consumers ages 18 to 65.
