CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 28, 1999-- Quotesmith.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:QUOT), the Internet's leading insurance price comparison service, will kick off the first phase of its $100 million, three-year integrated marketing campaign January 1, 2000, with television advertising during The Tournament of Roses Parade, The Rose Bowl and other top college football bowl games on January 1 and 2.

Willard Hemsworth II, Quotesmith.com's Senior Vice President of Marketing, noted that the TV advertising represents the first stage of the company's totally integrated marketing communications initiative that will also include radio, print, direct marketing and Internet components. Quotesmith.com, which offers free, instant quotes from more than 300 insurance companies, is currently running radio and print advertisements nationally. The remaining elements of the campaign will break during the first quarter of 2000.

Hemsworth said the television campaign, created by BBDO Chicago, will debut during the Tournament of Roses Parade with a thirty-second spot entitled "Cool Site", featuring people's surprised reaction that they can simply click on the Quotesmith.com site and obtain instant, free and guaranteed quotations from hundreds of leading insurance companies on a range of insurance products.
