Founded in 1983, AEGON is the product of a merger between two Dutch insurers, AGO and Ennia. Aegon’s health insurance products include coverage for disability, long-term nursing or custodial care needs. They may be purchased on a group basis (by a firm to cover its employees) or by individuals. In each case, the covered groups or individuals pay premiums or taxes to help protect themselves from high or unexpected healthcare expenses.
