About Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Company
In 1898, Mutual of Enumclaw was founded as Farmers' Mutual Insurance
Company. The originating company, founded by a group of Enumclaw,
Washington residents, was designed to insure farm and village buildings
and personal property from loss due to fire and lightning. Now a
part of Enumclaw Insurance Group, Mutual of Enumclaw has broadened both
its service area and insurance writings. Licensed in Washington,
Oregon, Idaho and Utah, Mutual of Enumclaw has written more than $300
million in premiums.

In 1962, Farmers' Mutual merged with the Butteville Insurance Company
of Woodburn, Oregon. In 1966, Farmers' changed its name to Mutual of
Enumclaw. Enumclaw Property and Casualty Insurance was created in 2002.
