Bundling your home and auto insurance with Progressive costs about $4,245 per year. That’s a 9% discount off of the total combined premium. Rates vary by location, and your insurance needs will affect what you pay for coverage.

It’s important to compare not just bundled rates, but the cost of buying from more than one company to see which is cheaper.

“[Many] companies that offer auto as their primary offer a bundle through a different insurer that may not have competitive rates for homeowners. Their auto insurance rates may be very good, but the homeowner’s insurance rates are well out of line with other well-known companies. You shouldn’t just look at how much you are saving on one policy,” says Jake Jones, owner of North Wyoming Insurance, an independent agency.

Insure.com has compiled all the data to help you decide if a Progressive auto and home bundle is right for you.

Key Takeaways

  • Bundling your home and auto with Progressive gets you, on average, a 9% discount on annual premiums.
  • The average cost of auto and home insurance when bundled with Progressive is $4,245 a year.

Methodology

Insure.com commissioned home and auto insurance rates for major carriers from Quadrant Data Services in late 2023. Home insurance rates are based on $300,000 in dwelling and liability coverage and a $1,000 deductible. Auto insurance rates are based on a full coverage policy with 100/300/100 liability limits and $500 deductibles, using the sample profile of a 40-year-old male driving a 2023 Honda Accord LX with a clean driving record and good credit. Quadrant also provided average bundling discounts.
