About Penn National
In 1919, a Pennsylvania farmer's association founded Penn
National to provide farm-related workers' compensation insurance to its
members. Within a few years, the association expanded into many other
lines of business and into other states. Today, Penn National does
business in nine states. It sells a broad variety of business insurance
and personal auto and homeowners insurance.
Penn National has always sold through independent agents. They
represent other companies and they work for the insurance buyer, not
the insurance company.
